Sun

Pipriac — Ille-et-Vilaine (Bretagne, France)

The days are short. The sun rises at 9 am and sets at around 5:30 pm. It gets light at 8:30 am. I pack a lot into this short period between sunrise and sunset. Sometimes so much that it overwhelms me. And sometimes so many great things that I’m almost thrilled.

I have to actively fight against it so as not to be flooded with ideas and plans in my head. I focus my attention on the little things, like drinking my coffee slowly or paying attention to my breath or simply looking out of the window into the distance without wanting anything.

The sun is shining for the most time through the day and the wall in the kitchen is bright and red. Everything feels pleasantly warm. And it gets warm quickly. So warm that I have to open the doors and windows a few times and am relieved by the cool breeze. The temperature in the living room rises to over 27°C, while it’s just 2°C outside.
