Just a small walk, yet it gives me so much. Especially now, when we live in a city that has welcomed us with lots of rain and low-hanging, gray clouds. Such a walk along the dunes and by the sea is almost healing. In any case, it is fulfilling and rejuvenating.

La Torche seems to be a paradise for surfers. On every corner stands either a shop selling surfing equipment or a surf school. Often both in one. The only road to the beach is lined with these schools, whose flags we later find again on the beach. It makes sense here. The waves are high, despite it being low tide. They are numerous and stretch along the entire beach.

Golden yellow and vast, the beach extends to the horizon, where it disappears. We especially enjoy this part after walking along the GR34 behind the dunes and then turning toward the beach. Nature and vastness, all that the city cannot offer us, here we find it. A beautiful, little excursion.
